Every price on this page is the maker's own published list price, read on 2026-09-26, which is unusual for a budget roundup: Little Tikes publishes $39.99 and $59.99, SKLZ publishes $34.99 and $49.99, Spalding publishes $69.99. Nothing here needs a caveat about the price moving, because these are the numbers the makers print. What that money buys is one of two things.
A kids' floor-standing set: a plastic base you weight with sand or water, a plastic pole, an oversized rim, and 18 to 24 inches of height adjustment somewhere between 2.5 and 6 feet. Or an over-the-door mini: an 18-to-28 inch polycarbonate board with a spring or 180-degree breakaway rim and a mini ball, which hangs on a door and works indoors in any weather.

No 10-foot rim. No 44-inch board. No steel pole worth the name. No breakaway rim on a full-size hoop. Decide indoors or outdoors first
