When the net hooks have worn through or rusted, when the spring no longer returns the rim to level, when a ring is bent from hanging, or when a static rim on a budget portable is holding back a teenager. Buyer's guide: replacement rims
Measure twice
Bolt spacing center to center, horizontally and vertically, on the back of the board. A 5x5 Goalrilla pattern and a 4x4 Escalade pattern look alike from the front and are not interchangeable.
Stainless hardware
Every Escalade rim page mentions stainless components; the bolts are what rust first. If your new rim ships with plated bolts, stainless replacements are a few dollars.
The net comes with it, mostly
Every rim here includes a net except that the Goalrilla 180 uses its own net-and-cable kit; best replacement nets has the spares.
Weight on a light board
A 25-lb pro-style rim on a 44-inch HDPE portable board is a bad idea; the Spalding rims on the small bracket are sized for the boards that carry that bracket.

Units we claim to have tested: 0
Everyone in this category says they tested twenty hoops. We haven't stood up any of them, and we say so on every page. What we do instead: read the maker's published backboard, pole, overhang and adjustment specs; open the install manual and quote the hole size, bag count and cure time; quote the warranty term from the maker's own page or manual with the date we read it; and note the failure patterns owners report (base cracking, backboard fogging, two-piece pole lean) as reported, never as confirmed. Every figure links to where it came from.

What replacement rim fits my basketball hoop?
The one matching your bolt pattern. Goalrilla FT/CV/GS72: heavy-weight or 180 (5x5). CV54, GS54c/60c, Silverback SB/SBX, Goaliath Ignite/Prodigy: medium-weight (3x4 / 4x4). NXT/GoTek: Silverback standard or deluxe. A 2-7/8 x 2-1/2 inch bracket: Spalding Slam Jam or Pro Slam. Measure the bolt spacing before you order.
Are basketball rims universal?
No. Escalade uses three bolt patterns across its brands and Spalding uses a small universal bracket; each rim page lists what it fits. The ring is always 18 inches on a regulation rim, but the mount is not universal.
Is the Goalrilla 180 rim worth it?
For a 5x5-pattern Goalrilla with a dunker in the house, yes: it breaks away front-to-back and side-to-side and recesses the net hooks. For shooting only, the heavy-weight OEM rim is $100 less and the same fit.
